Mandy Conner
Mandy Conner is a Senior Associate at Brightside Estate & Elder Law. She joined Brightside in May 2025 after several years in private practice and with the Internal Revenue Service, bringing her passion for helping individuals navigate complex tax issues. Before attending law school, Mandy worked as a teacher in multiple north Georgia counties and served as a Guardian ad Litem for abused and neglected children.



Education and Experience
Before joining Brightside, Mandy served as a Senior Attorney with the IRS Office of Chief Counsel, where she litigated complex income tax issues. Earlier in her career, she worked in private practice, advising individuals and businesses on intricate tax matters.
Mandy earned her Juris Doctor from Georgia State University College of Law, where she represented individuals in federal income tax controversies as a student attorney in the Philip C. Cook Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic. She served as a Graduate Research Assistant to Dean Alexis Martinez and achieved top grades in Tax Clinic: Tax Court II and Alternative Dispute Resolution. Mandy was also recognized for her commitment to community service, graduating with distinction in pro bono work.
Mandy is a magna cum laude graduate of Kennesaw State University with a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education.
Memberships
Mandy is an active member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and the Georgia Bar’s Tax Law Section. These memberships reflect her commitment to staying informed about emerging issues and trends in tax and elder law.
Selected Publications
Mandy has co-authored an article for the Georgia Society of CPAs on legislative updates and, while with the Internal Revenue Service, prepared monthly training materials and case law updates for Revenue Agents nationwide.
Personal Information
Outside of work, Mandy cherishes spending quality time with her family. She loves gardening and nature photography. When she’s not tending to her garden, Mandy enjoys distance running and the thrill of watching motorsports.
